Managing Partner Rob Bovarnick is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law. Prior to starting his firm, he was Vice Chair of the Bankruptcy Group at a 170 lawyer firm and head of the Creditor's Rights practice at a 20 lawyer firm. He is the former Chair of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Bankruptcy Conference. Rob has written and lectured extensively on various legal issues, has been a guest lecturer and speaker at numerous legal conferences, and has authored articles for a variety of legal publications including The Bankruptcy Strategist, The Alliance Report, and publications for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. He is author of a monthly column for Philadelphia's third largest daily newspaper, The Evening Bulletin, called "Ask the Attorney," and is the only attorney in Philadelphia who writes for a general community newspaper. Rob serves on numerous legal committees with the American Bar Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute and has served as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association. Rob is on the Solo and Small Firm Management Committee and is Co-Chair of the Small Business Committee, both with the Philadelphia Bar Association. He is on the Legal Ethics and Professional Responsibility Committee of the Pennsylvania Bar. Rob served on the United States Congressional Medicare Task Force and, in 2004 and 2006, served on the finance committee for Lois Murphy's candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives. Currently, he is on the National Republican Congressional Committee Business Advisory Council, the Board of the International Student Athlete Academy, a non-profit organization that helps young men learn the importance combining academics with athletics, the Board on HIAS and Council, an agency assisting immigrants into the United States and is the former President of the Board for the Pennsylvania affiliate of a national non-profit organization. Contract Attorney Stephen H. Cristal received his law degree in 1995 from the University of Pennsylvania and is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. He is admitted to the U.S. District and Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, District of New Jersey and Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Upon graduation, he completed a one year judicial clerkship for the honorable Ronald E. Bookbinder of the New Jersey Superior Court, with subsequent employment in private practice where he amassed extensive experience in contract drafting and review, residential real estate areas, criminal, municipal, bankruptcy, family and juvenile litigation. His primary focus has been in civil litigation where he successfully prosecuted cases in product and premises liability, medical and legal, employment discrimination, civil rights, insurance, automobile and consumer sectors. He has been involved in litigation with major corporations, state and municipal governments and regional institutions. Stephen brings comprehensive litigation experience and knowledge to the firm that he uses with diligence on behalf of its clients. Stephen lives in Old City, Philadelphia. Marketing Director Marc has a masters in management from Penn State University and a bachelor of science in Journalism. He is the author of five business books and teaches marketing at the Wharton School of Business. Marc is responsible for the overall marketing of the firm and also handles its media relations.
