Overview

While Barbara's principal focus with the Firm is trademark registration and protection, she often deals with agreements regarding the licensing of
copyrighted works or trademarks and others addressing protecting intellectual property by way of agreements for trade secrets, confidentiality and non – competition. 


In addition to her practice, Barbara has authored numerous publications,
taught classes and seminars and is a member of many professional
associations.

             Help Congress Get It Right?"  (Paper written in 2003 proposes the 
             establishment by Congress of an entity to evaluate all copyright legislative
             proposals and to make recommendations for Congress's 
             consideration.                                     

      ·    "Deal on Distance Learning Still Faces Pro-License Pressures", IP
            Supplement to Legal Times, March, 24, 2003, page 9.

      ·      "Some of the Story Behind the Enactment of the Technology Education 
            and Copyright Harmonization Act of 2002"  (Paper written in 2002
            examines the classic interplay between copyright content owners
            and users.  In this case, the stakeholders are nonprofit educators
            wanting to promote digital distance learning and content owners wanting
